The Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) was organized as a denomination in 1887 in the
USA and in
Canada, and today has a
worldwide constituency of more than two million members in 13,000 Churches. Our founder,
Dr. A.B. Simpson, left a New York Presbyterian pulpit with a call from
God to pursue the work of
GLOBAL missions.
Our Logo (right) represents best the centrality of Jesus Christ in
C&MA beliefs--
 | The Cross (top) stands for salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son.
|
 | The Laver (right) represents sanctification, a daily cleansing from sin and power for service through the indwelling Christ.
|
 | The Pitcher (left) speaks of oil, a symbol of divine life and physical healing that comes from Jesus.
|
 | The Crown (bottom) symbolizes the return to earth of the Lord Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
|
In a nutshell, then, the C&MA affirms the historic faith of the Christian church. We believe in the Bible and seek to live by it. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for the sins of men and women everywhere. As we come to God in real repentance and in faith, we receive forgiveness and new life in Christ! |
