Don Olsen
Senior Pastor
Don and his wife Chris, both originally from Saskatchewan, see the Island as an amazing place to live and call home.

They have four grown children and 12 Grandchildren.  Every one of them bring an incredible amount of joy into their lives.

Both Don and Chris have served on ministry committees that have taken them to many parts of the world, however their strongest calling is to serve the local church family.

Dons passion is to help people discover the peace and joy that comes when they grow an authentic relationship with God

Chuck Addison was 22 years old when he accepted Christ. He is married to Karen, and together they have three children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Chuck served 35 years in the Canadian Forces before he retired and took a Lay Pastor’s position in Ottawa Ontario. In 1986 he moved his family to Victoria where he began serving with VPRAC as volunteer Lay Pastor of administration.

In 1970 Chuck and his wife were one of the first to attend what is now VPRAC, when the church moved from Yates St to Townley. His ministry work revolved mostly around boy’s groups.

Chuck’s favorite bible verse – Psalm 27:1-2

Ps 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Ps 27:2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.

Rob Olsen
Youth Pastor

Rob loves spending time with his wife Patti and four children! You can often find Rob either coaching or watching one of his children’s activities.  Rob was born in Regina, and later returned to Regina to complete a Bachelor of Theology at Canadian Bible College (Ambrose University College).

Rob has a passion for people. He has ministered to students for over 17 years. It is Rob’s desire to build a team of students that hears and moves to the beat of Jesus in a world of many competing and deceptive beats.

With a background in vocal performance, Kyla brings her creative and relational approach to the work she does.  She is passionate about making church a place that encourages everyone, regardless of age, to take the next step in a journey of faith.  Though she originally hails from Winnipeg, Kyla considers herself an Island girl, having lived in Victoria since she was just 2 years old.  When she’s not having fun with the kids at church, she enjoys hanging out with friends at Willows Beach on clear summer evenings, late-night baking in her kitchen, going to the movies with her husband Darren, and watching with wonder as their two children grow into more and more interesting people everyday.
